Cool Internships Abroad

The International Internship Program (IIP) has many exciting Spring and Summer 2018 internships available! 

Check out these internships in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa in areas such as public sector/education and communication.

Application deadlines are October 8 (for Spring 2018) and February 18, 2018 (for Summer 2018). Scholarships are available.

Featured IIP Internship Opportunities
Grant is guaranteed toward cost of online internship course; $750 for spring, $500 for summer

US Department of State Internship Program
Location: Embassies and consulates throughout the world or Washington DC
Fields: Administrative/Support Services, Economic Community Development, Human Rights, International Relations, Legal Services, Political, Public Relations, Writing/Editing
Primary Internship Duties: Varies depending on post or office of assignment. Past interns have written reports on human rights issues, assisted with trade negotiations, organized conferences, research economic or environmental issues and worked on web pages.
Deadline: 10/05/2017 for Summer 2018

USA English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teacher and Admin. Assistant Intern
Location: Guayaquil, Ecuador
Fields: ESL Instruction, Public Relations, Social Media/Web Communications, Writing/Editing
Language: Beginning Spanish required!
Primary Internship Duties: Teach English to Ecuadorian students, assist the Academic Director/Coordinator with administrative tasks such as editing English documents, organizing cultural events and social media.
Compensation: $9/hour & housing
Deadline: 10/8/2017 for Spring 2018

USIT Work & Travel Office Intern
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Fields: Business, Customer Service, General Management/Admin, International Education, Writing/Editing
Compensation: Free participation in USIT programming, including excursions and field trips around Ireland and Work in Ireland visa program (for a paid part-time job)
Primary Internship Duties: USIT is a work & travel company. The intern will work with students looking to work, travel and volunteer in Ireland. Tasks include: assisting in advising newly-arrived international students, processing applications, planning social events for students, developing online marketing materials and assisting in other office tasks
Deadline: 10/8/2017 for Spring 2018 and 2/18/2018 for Summer 2018
