Summer Internships in Museums!

The Madison Children's Museum and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art both have internships available for Summer 2017. Don't miss out on these chances to put your mad history skillz to work while also honing your communication skills!

These positions are unpaid, but students who are interested should contact Christina for information on arranging course credit.

First, the Madison Children’s Museum is looking for a local history intern for summer 2017 to work with the Program Coordinator on informal history and culture programming at the Museum’s 1838 Log Cabin and other exhibits (including some outdoor work).  This is an unpaid position but course credit can be arranged.  Must be available 10-15 hours per week, specifically between 9:30-4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.  For more information, see this flyer or contact Michelle Morrison at mmorrison@madisonchildrensmuseum.org.

Additional internships in the development and education departments at the Madison Children's Museum are posted at http://madisonchildrensmuseum.org/about/work-at-mcm/internships/.

Second, the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art is accepting applications for internships in the Administrative/Membership, Development, Graphic Design, Private Events, Public Relations, and Special Events.  These positions run from mid-May to mid-August and require a 15- to 20-hour commitment per week.  All summer interns must work at Art Fair on the Square (July 8-10).

Applications should be submitted by May 15 for best consideration.  More information about the positions is avalable at http://www.mmoca.org/about/employment/internships.
