Internship at UW Archives Oral History Project

The UW-Madison Oral History Program (OHP) has an internship available for interested history students.

The internship involves learning how to work for an oral history program. The student could work on the following tasks:

· Conducting an oral history interview with a faculty, staff, or alumni
· Making extant oral histories more accessible
· Publishing oral history by creating a webpage(s) or a "Found in the Archives" Tumblr post(s)
· Working with Troy Reeves, OHP Head, to plan new, campus or community focused oral history projects, and
· Doing general but necessary office tasks.

For this internship, the student should spend at least 4hrs/week at the Archives. Other than that, students need only to have an interest in campus history.

Interns will learn oral history methods, project management, and presentation of digital collections - all of which are relevant to future work in archives, public history, or digital humanities.

Interested students should contact Christina Matta at the History Department or Troy Reeves at
